  1. My acne was soooo terrible and then I took this stuff and BAM! It was all gone haha

  2. @robboultimate Dont take this on a full stomach i hr before you eat or 2-3 hours after because if you take it on a full stomach you might throw up and when you take it drink lots of water because if you take it dry it will cause you to have a very irritated throat

  3. really i found i can take it with a complete meal consisting of.... well anything i want to eat. Im using the pill for its anti-inflamatory use, not its antibiotic use so, the chemicals requireing an empty stomach are not needed and thus, i am pleased and essentially acne free.

  4. @MomntrySilence Umm you reallllllly shouldn't be taking it with orange juice

  5. im taking it for malaria when i go travelling in thailand. anyone had side effects from this ???????

  6. That's amusing you mention that, because I started my Doxycycline 150mg treatment this morning, and no more than 5 minutes after I took it, I was hunched over the toilet in excruciating pain. I ate some crackers and drank a bottle of water and it went away.
Unwanted side effects will hopefully pay off in a few weeks!
    Excellent luck to you =)

  7. i take this pill with orange juice and a poptart everymorning and night. i also take a vitamin everymorning with the pill cuz it guess thats a excellent thing and rub shit the doctor gave me on my face. after taking this stuff religiously for about a week, my ACNE IS GONE.

ps the pill clears ghonneria as well haha

  8. i?ve been using doxy, for about three weeks. In the first week my skin was clearing up, but in the second-third week, i started breaking out. It?s finally getting under control. If i don?t drink a lot of fluids, or eat a healthy brkfst i become very nauseous or feel like throwing up, so be cautious. overall, im still trying it out and i hope it goes well:)

  9. usually with a small food and a glass of water

  10. @KoolJayJ this worries me. has anyone else been on doxycycline for 9 months and then had it fail on you?

  11. cuyamacacc - do you take doxycyline with food or by itself?

  12. my dermatologist place me on doryx (doxycycline) 150mg once a day, duac cleanser and topical gel in the morning, and benprox cleanser and differin gel before I go to bed... I've been doing this routine for a week now, and it's slowly working. Some blemishes on my forehead and some on my cheeks are gone, but I also had a few small breakouts. My skin is INCREDIBLY dry and burns when I apply the topicals and the moisturizer. It's also quite red... I wish he would've just place me on accutane.

  13. Just to let you all know.... Doxycycline is a really just a temporary solution..... Cos after a certain amount of time taking it, it will start to fail.... then wont work at all..... trust me... i was on it for 9 months, it worked wonders..... started notcing results with in the first 2 weeks and it kept by chest, back and face clear .... then it all went to shit...... Just go accutane

  14. Well... I've been using Doxycicline,
50mg once a day.... NO side effects

I've been using it for 2 weeks.
At first, it didn't seem to
work, in fact, more acne appeared on my face.

After the first week, the acne stopped from popping up on my face, and now I only have red spots and 1 or 2 small pimples.

  15. It works well guys! And don't worry too much about the sun, as I took it while I was in Africa and never had problems (I'm a honest-skinned and brown hair, if it makes any difference).

  16. ive been on doxy for 3 days now to clear up pityriasis lychenoides chronica. it appears to be working after only 3 days but i feel kinda light headed. i suppose i could be drinking more water tough. and it is possible i may be experiencing early stages of Swine flu but im not sure. anyone know?

  17. yep I'm taking doxycycline i hope this works.

  18. been taking doxycycline mono 100 mg once a day for nearly 2 months. no side effects. no upset stomach. nothing.

face is really under control. cheeks slowly healing. only small issue is the bacne - taking longer to heal up. any suggestions? i don't want to do the whole 'prolonged use of antibiotics' which can be terrible but i certainly need to keep taking it for it

  19. Ive been doxycycline twice a day + epiduo gel at night for about 5 months now. I have oily skin and I generally JUST get blackheads on the forehead and cheeks. My forehead completely cleared up but my cheeks have only now just started to show signs of clearing. Not sure what I should do. =/ It seems like it'll take forever for my cheeks to clear up.

  20. i have been taking it for a mounth now and no problem

  21. My doctor prescribed me tetracycline, but I did not want to take it. He switch my medicine to doxycycline. I took the medicine for 3 month and quickly started noticing the result. I've stop taking the medicine and my skin is back to normal - I rarely get acne. In fact, I never did, after taking this medicine. It's has been 3 months now.

  22. Pls help anyone, i am taking doxycycline everyday for last two weeks 100mg, my face has those yellow heads,(many) which you can pull out, those hard ones and yellow in colour,.....is this a problem...or anything?
also my derm told me to take it with food, but i read that if you dont take it with food, you will have stomach aches,so far i have been taking it without food,(which some say is more effective), and i dont feel too upset after taking it.....someone pls help.

  23. DO NOT TAKE ON AN EMPTY STOMACHE!
Eat lots, drink water, and then take it right after you have finished your meal/beverage.

  24. Never take Doxycycline on an empty stomach. Get full, Have water, and then take it. My bottle said take either an hour before a meal... or 2-3 hours after a meal, which is incorrect. I took it (by mistake) on an empty stomach and puked in about 10 minutes. My cousins have done the same and it works for them.

  25. maybe your just yucky
